Join Our Lent and Easter Services at All Saints

What to expect when you visit All Saints for our Lent and Easter services:

As with all services at All Saints, everyone is welcome. We’re a mixed bunch of wonderful people who love God, each other, our church and we really love the Ascot Vale community.

We have both young and old members – some who have been members of our community for decades (literally 60+ years!) and some who have joined us more recently. We have members who have been walking out their faith journey for their whole lives and others who are still exploring Christianity. Whoever you are, you’ll fit right in.

We’re a church who love to welcome people and have a gift for hospitality that we love to share. You’re always invited to stay after our morning services to enjoy morning tea with us. For our services in the evenings, we’ll often leave the church in silence to create space for quiet reflection. But there’ll always be someone who would like to talk with you or prayer with you, if that’s what you’d like.

When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by a friendly member of the church. You’ll be able to follow along with the service on the powerpoint and/or pew sheet. You’re welcome to engage as much as you’d like or sit back and take it all in.

Lenten Services

Shrove Tuesday – 7pm, Tuesday 17th February

Join us for our annual Pancake Supper fundraiser for CareForCambodians. We’re proud of our longstanding tradition of supporting the work of CareForCambodians. And, as a church known for our gifts of hospitality, we do it while enjoying a pancake feast!

7-9pm in our church hall. Informal evening of joining together in food, fellowship and fundraising.

Suggested contribution: $15 adults and $5 child.

All money collected on the evening will go to the CareForCambodians team to support their work in raising awareness, providing equipment and funding projects in Cambodia.

Ash Wednesday – 11am & 7pm, Wednesday 18th February

Join us for a traditional Ash Wednesday service at either 11am (Eucharist service) or 7pm.

Lenten Reflections – 7pm, Tuesdays during Lent (commencing 24th February)

Join us for a time of quiet reflection and preparation during Lent. These short reflection evenings (usually 40-45 minutes) provide us an opportunity to be still in the lead up to Easter.

We will gather together to listen to narrative reflections of Jesus’ life. These are emotive, meditative narratives which invite us to reflect on the Easter story in different ways.

This year, we’ll be working through Bishop Stephen Cottrell’s wonderful “The Things He Carried“.

Easter Services

We are finalising our Easter Services plans. We will update this section shortly.

There will be a Confirmation Service on Easter Day, 5th April 2026. Confirmation is re-affiriming our Baptismal Vows (often made for us by our parents and godparents) and the laying on of the Bishops hands inviting the Holy Spirit to be our strengthener. Confirmation gives us full membership in the Anglican Church. Please contact Rev. Gail Bryce. If you have not been baptised, preparation and baptism can also be arranged.
